Newest numismatic collectible from the US mint

1 Attachment(s)
I found in an obscure portion of the mint's website what could be the biggest numismatic item to come from the US mint!!!! I hope y'all were reading my sarcasm. It costs 38FRNs. How much silver is there in that medal?

Here it is: http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&produ ctId=14725&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=10200

Quote:

The obverse design features a portrait of Secretary Paulson with the inscriptions 74th Secretary of the Treasury and Henry M. Paulson, Jr.
The reverse depicts a peregrine falcon in the center, the seal of the Department of the Treasury on the left, the Great Seal of the United States on the right and the Treasury Building in the background with the date JULY 10, 2006 inscribed above. The image of the peregrine falcon represents Secretary Paulsons commitment to conservation and his long-time interest in birds of prey. Ahhh, ain't that sweet!
He looks like a cancer patient on this coin! :9536:

Buy this medal as a keepsake for the man who SCREEEEEWWWWWED YOU OVER BIG TIME!!!!!!:moon: A must for any masochist.

Where does the mint come up with this crap? Is there some contractual agreement that forces the mint to produce this garbage. Who buys this junk, anyway?

This is almost as good as the obama quarter series sold privately.

Maybe now we know where all the billions went. Chicken little had his own coin commisioned. If would be more fitting if they were made from FRN's.

Act quick, before they are gone. You can still get at an amazingly low, low price of 38FRNs JOHN (FRICKIN') SNOW 73rd Secretary of the treasury.

Sure to be treasured in your heart. Buy two at a reduced price and we will place them on your eyes after you have bit the big one!! :4_1_72:
the mint has your best interests in mind.

I said it before, and I'll say it again: I think this numismatic stuff is just a way for the mint to hide the rising cost of PM.

I was hoping the link would be to the onion.com and that they would introduce the first paper coin.

Wow, shouldn't this be minted in tin... Or maybe mercury. Ya, mercury, i.e., "quicksilver", because thanks to Paulson, silver is quickly going top overshadow dollars!
